The coat of arms of the city of Kumertau is approved by the decision of the City Council of the city of Kumertau of the Republic of Bashkortostan of September 21, 2006 No. 13-8. The coats of arms have been entered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation under №2994, and also in the State Register of Symbols in the Republic of Bashkortostan under №032.

The first version of the new coat of arms developed in 2006 was framed - an oak wreath and a kurai. Probably on the recommendation of the Heraldic Council, the coat of arms was approved in the form of a simple heraldic shield without ornaments.

«In the azure field with golden sides, each of which is burdened with three black equilateral triangles (one above the other), standing to the right with the wings of a golden steppe falcon-peregrine falcon.».

Justification of Symbols:

The coat of arms is unified and harmonious in its content: all the emblem's symbols symbolize the historical, geographical and socio-economic characteristics of the city of Kumertau, built in connection with the discovery and development of the Babayevsky brown coal deposit. In translation from the Bashkir language the name of the city sounds like "coal mountain". Therefore, the city's name is symbolically depicted in the coat of arms by black triangles. In addition, the triangle is the most stable geometric figure, looking to the future. The central figure of the emblem is a peregrine falcon, symbolically reflecting the Bashkir steppe, in which the city is built. The image of the peregrine falcon also personifies the development of aircraft building in the city, the height of the aspirations and thoughts of the Kumertaus.

The flag was approved on September 21, 2006 and entered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with the assignment of registration number 3237.

Description:

«Rectangular cloth with a ratio of width to length of 2: 3, consisting of three vertical bands of yellow, blue and yellow (the width of each yellow strip is 1/6 of the length of the panel); in the middle of the blue strip standing, facing the shaft, with the wings of the steppe falcon-peregrine falcon of yellow color»

Justification of Symbols:

The flag, developed on the basis of the coat of arms, symbolizes the historical, geographical and socio-economic features of the city of Kumertau, constructed in connection with the discovery and development of the Babaevsky brown coal deposit.

In the center of the flag is a peregrine falcon, symbolically reflecting the Bashkir steppe, in which the city is built. The image of the peregrine falcon also personifies the development of aircraft building in the city, the height of the aspirations and thoughts of the Kumertaus.
